Isle Esme

The moonlight lit his body with an artful grace
Accentuating the planes of his beautiful face
I knew right then I'd never love him more
As the sound of the waves gently lapped the shore

Safe in his arms in the ocean's embrace
My body tingled as his lips touched my face
He was my husband, my lover, my friend
My love irrevocable, never to end.

He carried me gently to a white bed of lace
Trying so hard no bruises to place
Swept away with passion, I felt no pain
Only wanting him to love me again and again.

This was the night I had longed for so much
My body answering to his sensual touch
As I cried out his name, I knew in my heart
Immortality he'd give me, never to part
